SCRATCH ROCK was founded as schlimbum records in west london. the year was 2012, and two childhood friends - dydy haynes and minky très-vain - decided to make a change in the capital’s creative industry

after putting out several diy pressings by a handful of local punk outfits, the team began to grow and with it so did the ambition

by 2019, the company had changed. while ‘schlimbum’ records would forever be a part of their journey, the collective decided upon a new name to take them into the new decade: thus, SCRATCH ROCK was born

as the label’s artists' careers began to develop significantly, and SCRATCH ROCK continued to support their creative endeavours, many of them expressed an interest in working in the film industry as well as continuing their efforts in the music scene. this included work both in front of, and behind, the camera

to date SCRATCH ROCK artists’ milestones include:

- acting work in front of camera alongside other actors such as cillian murphy and laurence fishburne in major productions - such as projects for paramount, netflix, and apple tv

- work in post-production for global brands such as content officially associated with chelsea football club

- several european music tours, as well as several musical debuts at the edinburgh fringe

- multiple full-length albums, live albums, over 50 singles, and several extended-plays, as well as hours and hours of content and promotional campaigns on socials including interviews and merchandise

- over a decade of international airplay including bbc airtime

- nominations for music awards such as the nmg awards in several categories

most importantly the SCRATCH ROCK collective is proud to have achieved all of this without compromising their ethical priority, proving it possible to achieve great things without selling out morally
